Student PLAY Card

The PINES Library Card Access for Youth (PLAY) program gives students free access to public library materials and online resources to help them succeed in school. South Georgia Regional Library System (SGRL) is partnered with local school systems to provide the PLAY program to students of all ages. Currently, the program is available for  Lowndes County Schools, Valdosta City Schools, and Lanier County Schools.

How Does it work

Students at partnering schools will use their student ID number to access their PLAY Card account just like they would use a library card. The PLAY Card is free and access to public library resources and services is free. If your student already has a library card, the student may use both the PLAY account and their original library card. The PLAY account will be an entirely separate account.
For digital resources of your choice, anytime you are asked for your library card number you will use your student ID number and date of birth as follows:

Your CARD NUMBER or USERNAME is the letters selected by the school system (must be in all capital letters) plus your student ID number.

Valdosta City Schools =VCSW12345
Lowndes County Schools= LCSD692 +12345
Lanier  County Schools = LCD12345

Ex: If your Valdosta City Schools student ID was 12345, your card number would be VCSW12345

Your PIN or PASSWORD is your two digit birth month and four digit birth year with no spaces.

Ex: If your birthday was  August 30, 2014, your PIN would be 082014.
